A writer and writings, a comprehensive affair

It is not so hard to write. All it takes to write is a mere will to write. The words start flowing, the letters start pairing up; making sentences. But what makes a sentence more than just readable? If one is a writer or if one is an enthusiast or an avid reader, it is no surprise to wonder what makes certain writings so attractive? How can some writings speak more than the words written? Now, that’s what makes the distinction between great writing and average writing. 

But it is a fact that when one is writing, they should not be bothered about the gradations and ranks of their level of writing. They should be worried about conveying what they want to write in a way that it is best understood. It’s all about how one writes the ‘what’ they write, and in a way that it is understood the way it is intended.

A writer can worry about the language later, it is the idea that acts as a soul of any writing. It is only common to see some writings that appear grammatically sound but speak nothing. These writings have complicated terminology that suits the likes of the elite, the classy terms. But when one cuts into the body of this content, there is no soul. There is no idea behind these sugarcoated words.

The content that a writer writes can be anything. It can be an underwear brand that the writer writes for, it is nothing inferior. No subject is inferior when it comes to writing. If one is writing about underwears, they must not make it sound inferior. It’s a necessary thing that we all wear, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Similarly, there are many subjects writers feel ashamed and stop doing their jobs to describe them better.

Take ‘anarchy’ for example, or in the modern-day, a ‘feminist’ is turning into a negative term. It is the writer that should take the blame for not describing the term correctly, or defending the negative use of the term. The writer takes the job without understanding the power held. What is written is never forgotten. It’s an idea that a writer implants into brains through letters and words.

It is not a mere sugarcoated paragraph that one writes. It’s a seed that can create a tree of thoughts giving birth to different seeds in the reader’s mind. Never forget that it is the idea that is before the presentation. Presentation is equally important too. It is a mutual dependency. Without an idea, even a fantastic presentation appears soulless. And without a proper presentation, the idea appears raw and naked. 

We have reached a point, that we don’t like things naked. Even if we did, we would never agree. The first instinct at the sight of the naked is to close one’s eyes regardless of their feelings towards the visual. Such is the scenario of an idea without an adequate presentation. Think of the presentation as ‘idea presented in as understandable and as acceptable to common mind’.

 We might have the urge to write something unacceptable, but if one desires a reader to comprehend the writing. The compromise of writing in a common language happens. If the reader is not a concern, if it is a journal that one writes; only then can one be excused for the crime of writing something incomprehensible.

Write to speak; to communicate. We always have our personal diaries to write things that only we understand.

Content writing, the least embraced form of writing

We can see that many bloggers, like us, of course, have started content writing in their blogs, or they write for contracts. But what is this content? Where does it come? Well, like any other forms of writing, it comes within the brain of a writer. Content writing, usually seen as a money-making idea for writers, is much more than just some contract. What content is but the voice of a person!

No matter how many articles content writers study to write an original article, the words that come out on the empty document have some originality. And that originality lies in the voice of the author. The author might not put a steady focus in the words that they are writing, but involuntarily the choice of words and framing of sentences shout their voices out. The essence of the writer takes these articles forward.

The essence of content writing

You, as a content writer, might be writing some piece of work that doesn’t fascinate you at all. Maybe you are writing about something you always love. Regardless of the topic, your opinion, negative or positive, gets embedded in the tone of your writings. One can tell if you wrote the article with your full interest or zero interest just by reading out the lines that you have written. This boring-writing happens when you write your un-favourite essay and are just writing something to fill the words.

Your tone, essence and opinions are what you need to be careful. You can not just write whatever you want because content writing might be a side-income for you, but for many who read the blogs to find answers, it is a piece of information. You can solve this issue of disinterest by treating the article as a piece of information. If you are writing about paint boxes, make sure that you are not giving out false information because some reader thinks it to be true. You need to verify the information you are reading out in different articles. That is why people say to read more to write more.

The back-end of content writing

On the front-end, content writing is all about form. The format that you are writing is crucial if you are writing for websites. There is a particular pattern so that your blog pops out when someone searches for a relevant topic. The form exists, and it becomes your duty to edit the article in a way that it respects the norms of content writing. But what is the back-end of this process? There are few things, generalised, that usually fit for the back-end process. It might vary with writers, but it is broad enough to include most of them.

1) Research

Research plays a significant role in content writing. As a content writer, you need not be aware of a lot of things, but you need to be mindful of the things that make you knowledgeable quickly, like Google! All you need to do is google the topic, read pre-existing articles on the topic to get a perspective. Now, you can choose to paraphrase the subject, but what’s the fun? Never decide to paraphrase until you have a time limit and you don’t have an option. If you do have a lot of time and options, choose to research the topics and form an understanding and perspective on the issue.

2) Deciding a narrative

Every content has a story behind it. It is the job of a content writer to write in a way that the information is conveyed. There are different ways to write an article to share a piece of information. You can choose to write directly as what it is, or you can choose to break down the data into several little bits and put it out as ‘Several things of something’. If you decide to write directly, you need to make sure that it fits the form. 3) Choice of words

As we have discussed earlier, it is the choice of words and framing that decide your essence. You need to choose the words wisely in a way that the article is not dull and at the same time conveying more information. The most effective way of writing is by choosing fewer words to tell more. Your contracts indeed demand a certain number of words for each article. But do not just write anything randomly to extend the article. I could have written, “do not just write anything randomly just for the purpose of extending an article”. But instead of that, I used “to extend” which saved three unnecessary words that extend the work.

Write for yourself

This sentence is something that might appear as a cliche, but yet real. You need to remember that content writing is not another option to earn more bucks. You write for yourself, and you write to express. Without the expression, thousands of words you write become cannon fodder. Even if you paraphrase other articles, lift their context and paste them in your words, make sure that there is an expression of your own. Because again, content writing, like any writing is for yourself! No matter what you are writing, it becomes a product that you have produced. What great is a product that doesn’t have an expression of its maker! Embrace yourself as a content writer, because it is not inferior to any other forms of writing!

The Realisation of Every Night!

Archie was sitting with a pen in his hand,
A lot of thoughts were running in his mind.
He wants to express his grief and feelings,
There was nothing but tears and bearings.

Archie’s brain interrupts, and it says, ” Dude, finally you are at a point to express! I’m so happy for you! It always helps when you let it out. Please do write it well.”

Archie had a smile,
He is deep into his thoughts by a mile.
Archie starts writing his first word,
There runs a chill under his spinal cord.

Then his Brian says “Buddy, Why are you worried? I understand what you are facing. I’m filled with all your sadness. Please put it in words and let it out. You will feel much better.”

Archie gained confidence and starts writing,
The words are themselves inviting.
Archie has so much on the table,
His pattern becomes a bit unstable.

Then his brain says “Bro, do not let the words overtake your thoughts. Do you know what the best way to express something is? The original form! Just put on your grief and don’t care about the rest.”

Archie thinks that is the best advice he ever got,
He thinks to give it a shot.
He keeps on writing,
The tears keep on rolling.

Then his brain says “Mate, Please do not feel emotional, I understand what you are going through. I know you think you are non-existent in the vast, beautiful cosmos. But let me tell you that your presence makes it attractive. “

Archie feels much more inspiring,
His mood is very refreshing.
The night is very calm,
He feels very warm.

Then his brain says “Friend, I understand why you feel good at night. It is very calm and the only time where you think that it’s your time without any judging. A time where you realise that you don’t want to exist, and recognise the importance of your existence at the same time. I know how suffocated you were. I have helped you cry for the questions you got on your presence from self and others. I can assure you it doesn’t matter if you are true. Please do not worry.

In the end, my friend if you feel about your existence. You are very important. You matter a lot. You need a person like the character of the brain to listen. Luckily I have one, and I can assure you, you will have one.

Oh yes! The feeling Archie was writing was the above one, putting his feelings together.
